Lesson Plan2

Observation 3

Make a brief chronological, outline of the class period below.
4) Teacher-centeredness vs Student-centeredness
Young-Gil's teaching style was "Teacher-centeredness".
He taught English words used the way of inference that students look sample sentences and then think about the meaning of the words.
In this class, students and teacher didn't talk each other.
The only time they want to talk each other was when teacher asked something, students answered.
They didn't have any debate or talking in the class.
Write any additional notes here.
Young-Gil's class seems "one-way" teaching to deliver information.
Of course, students age is pretty old, (he prepared his class for adults.) so it's okay.
But, in my point of view, his teaching way can be boring and students can lose their interest of English.
So, the communucation of teacher and students is very important for the interest of English.
If this class filled with "communication between teacher and students" and "picture or something", it would be much memorable to students.

Observation 2

Make a brief chronological outline of the class period below
3) student attention and interest

This class is for two students. One is older brother and the other is his young sister. Their age gap is one year.
But the boy doesn't like study, even he doesn't finish his homework.
Thus, the teacher scold him all the time.
The girl like study and focus on the class very calmly. so her grade is really good.
Their mother know about this problem that huge difference of the boy and the girl.
But the boy's attention and interest of the class is getting better than four years ago.
So, these day class atmosphere is better too. More relax and game with fun.
But they are still low-level students, so the attention and focus time is only twenty minuets.
So, teacher planed learning something new is only twenty time and then review or games.

Write any additional notes here

Actually, the teacher is my mother.
and sometimes two students study in my house.
the boy is very active and colorful so he can't focus on studing.
and sometimes he bother his young sister who study hard.
but the girl doesn't care about that. That scenery is very weird and funny to me.
but as time goes by the boy study more than before. so now he can focus on study for twenty minuets. that's really terrific development.
Teaching somebody is really hard and great thing!

Observation 1

4) Make a brief chronological outline of the class period below.
Teacher-centeredness vs. student-centeredness
This class was student-centeredness.
Because, this class is conversation of Enlglish, so it consisted with students debating each other.
The way of teaching is teacher's explanation first and then grouping students talk each other about topic that teacher mationed.
5) Write any additional notes here. What did you think worked well or not so well in this class? What have you learned from this observation that you would like to apply to your own teaching?
Herry's class is very active and dynamic.
When students talk or act, they peretend to be in real situations with real emotion after they choose their rule. Also, students share their own photos, thier memory and talk about their experience at that time. And Herry give a homework to students, that is writing diary or special subject.
And then he check the homework, correct some mistakes in the writing and give a little coments about thier writing. Students can talk with body-language and eyes.
